Ebooks are about learning something of value, and so much more. When you see an ebook you know you’re probably going to learn something, but the best ebooks offer more than education, they offer resources. Resourceful links provide opportunities to bring traffic back to your website, for more business, more information, and more value.
An ebook is a Viral Marketing Tool.
Principle #1
Select a topic with enough interest and information to keep your reader’s attention, and include enough links to your website, or other profitable informative links to keep your readers coming back to you. The best links within an ebook offer the reader valuable merchandise that keeps them coming back and BUYING from your website.
Principle #2
Provide complete information. While the objective of an ebook is to bring them back to your website for more information, you do not want your reader to wonder what they paid for. Give them complete information as promised in your sales page. Include answers to all the questions presented, and be certain that you’ve given them all the information they need, along with links back to your site for more information, so you don’t frustrate them.
Principle #3
Incorporate Viral Links into the Main Text of your ebook. Nobody really reads the index or ‘info pages’ at the back of a book, they do however read the text. So include all your resource links in the main text of your book to grab attention and get them clicking back to your site. During the process of writing a book, you’ll think of links you want to add, add them where you think of them, because that’s where the reader needs them.
Principle #4
Power up your linkage using headers and footers in your ebook. By using a footer in your ebook with the link included, your link back to your own webpage can be on every single page of your ebook with no additional work at all. Including the link in the body of your text increases chances for linking, but always be sure it’s on every page, in the footer of your ebook.
Principle #5
Include a Resource Page. Although they aren’t read often, if you happen to include a resource page and do add in complete urls, your ebook can be used even when printed out. A BIG reason for including complete links.
